The Disability Confident scheme is a government scheme and it helps employers make the most of the opportunities and benefits that having disabled employees can bring to their organisation. It is a voluntary scheme and has been developed by employers and by disabled people.
We believe that in order to become ‘disability smart’, a business must implement a ‘whole organisation’ approach to its disability and diversity strategy. This means that no area of a business should develop in isolation of its wider strategic support and planning. Toucan Diversity is a user-led social enterprise and has a whole range of expertise with business experience to call on. In addition, we are able to offer you the necessary training for your existing employees to ensure real inclusion.

You will receive:
- Feedback on both your Level 2 self-assessment and your Level 3 leadership statement of activities;
- Wider recommendations for your organisation based on the evidence you provide; and
a one-hour phone call with one of our Advisers to go through the validation. This will give you the opportunity to ask questions on the recommendations we have made and advice on next steps.
