Debbie Saunders
Disability Equality Trainer
Debbie Saunders is a Disability Equality Trainer
Diagnosed with RRMS (Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis) in 2001, Debbie has dedicated her career to helping people reach their full potential. With over three decades of experience in learning and development, her roles have spanned the private, public, and most recently, the Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector. A passionate and experienced trainer, Debbie discovered her love of teaching early on, finding immense satisfaction in witnessing people grow, be happy, and most importantly, feel proud of themselves.
One of her most impactful roles was as Director of Development & Support for Drop the Mask Productions (DTMP), a Community Interest Company committed to breaking down barriers to work experience and training for those often unfairly labelled as unemployable. It was here that Debbie’s eyes were opened to new possibilities – and the encouragement she received inspired her to embark on her own journey as a sole trader.
Today, Debbie delivers first aid and disability awareness training, blending her lived experience of disability with her expertise as a trainer. Through her work, she continues to empower others, foster inclusion, and champion the message that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the potential to thrive.
