Simon Houghton is a deaf awareness trainer and advocate, public speaker and consultant.
Simon Houghton, Msc, Bsc, is the founder of #WeSupportDeafAwareness, a campaign and training initiative designed to help organisations and their staff to better communicate with the deaf and hard of hearing. His campaign has reached over 320,000 employees from a range of organisations, including the NHS, PepsiCo, The Body Shop, Hampshire Football Association, and Dementia Support, to name just a few of the organisations.

Simon’s story
As a deaf individual, who has a background in psychology and behaviour change, he has a deep understanding of how to help others put themselves in the shoes of someone who is deaf so that they understand the challenges for themselves. He brings this to his training and lived experience talks.
Simon’s career is a behaviour and culture change consultant, with over twenty-five years’ experience, focusing on improving trust, psychological safety and inclusion in teams and organisations globally. Simon is also a qualified executive coach and sport psychologist, working with executives from a range of organisations as well as individuals from different sports at County through to Olympic level. He is the author of the business book ‘From the Touchline to the Boardroom’.
